  3. Judge wrote It is your own collective fault. The 9 out of 10 of you who insisted
you were cleverer than the cameras have paid good money to have these
systems developed and it is just a fucking shame that the small minority
of more sensible riders have to pay the price for your stupidity.

All you had to do was stick to the speed limits for a couple of weeks
until the system went broke from lack of revenue and all of this shit
    would have been history.

    Try this one:
Digital gatsos that automatically read the plate and generate the fine?
Why not tie all those in and photograph everything that goes past?

This is an easy game to play. Find something the goverment has done to
combat terrorism or crime and see how well it fits into the 24/7
ultimate surveillance plan, which must be what they're working towards.

Christ, even my crappy Mondeo does 130 and that cost less than 300 quid.

Don't blame the tool, blame the clueless fucking user. Because it
doesn't post where *it* wants, it posts where *you* tell it to.

And unless you have a working sig separator, don't fucking sign your
    posts, nobber.

Doing 90mph on my GS450 is a trouser browning experience.
Metaphorically, obviously, I've never actually shit my pants[1] when
    doing something scary.

[1] But I did follow through once when I was on a public phone. I farted
like a bastard and the backs of my legs went warm...

Just, but it looks like Teflon Tony is caving in on the exemption that was
proposed for food-free pubs. Its not just pubs, the MoD will soon be
restricting smoking further. According to the this month's Navy News smoking
will soon be banned in all Navy workplaces - could you imagine a smoker
serving on a submarine who can't light up for 2-3 months?

  11. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Bear amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
When I'm going fast on my bike it feels like /I'm/ going that fast, not
the bike. If I'm going fast in the car it feels like it's the car that's
going that fast and thus, I'm not in control.

  18. Typical cop think...

"The term "associated vehicles" means analysing convoys of cars, vans or
trucks to see who is driving alongside a vehicle that is already known
to be of interest to the police. Criminals, for instance, will drive
somewhere in a lawful vehicle, steal a car and then drive back in convoy
to commit further crimes "You're not necessarily interested in the
stolen vehicle. You're interested in what's moving with the stolen
    vehicle," Mr Whiteley explained."

So... now the crims have been tipped off, they'll simply not drive back
in convoy. How clever of the police to show their hand.

Exactly. Do you know, I think I've passed one Gatso in the past 11
    years.

Actually I can think of three people that smoke and work on subs. Apparently
it quickly became second nature to them to "quit", whilst on a tour[1], then
take it up again and smoke like a chimney once ashore.
