Check shocks for wear, as there's a lot of weight on them. If you have
*any* difficulty changing down gears, walk away. Ask if the drive
splines have been serviced at least every tyre change.
The odo says 110k, but the early Ks have a bit of a problem with water
ingress in the instrument cluster which causes the odo to intermittently
stop and start. A bike that says 110k could easily have done a whole lot
    more.
The one good thing about the ex-police bikes is they have massive
    amounts of road presence.

No, road "presence" as in "**** me that's a big bike, maybe I shouldn't
forget about using the indicator and drop in on its lane while applying
my lipstick and running 10 minutes late for work".

  5. And seeing as K100RT/LTs have not been made since about '92 and 110,000kms
is not alot (if the speedo is telling the truth). Has the bike been laying
about for a few years, or has it been used regularly?. Not unusual for the
fuel rail to corrode inside and the fuel hoses to decay a bit on a bike that
hasn't been ridden for a longtime, all the shit can block the injectors when
you start riding again. If that's the case a full fuel system cleanout is a
    good idea.

seems 2 have been left out in sun N rain BUT serviced regularly.
Started instantly and settled down to nice idle.
Only asking $1250. which IMHO is not a lot of $.
