Having followed the 'stiff nuts' thread, are there steps which can be
taken to keep the exhaust bolts nice and unstuck?

When I clean my bike, I always give the bolts a spray with
'no-rustopreen' or whatever. Is this a good idea, or am I wasting my time?

Any other, proven, good ideas out there?

  2. Copper grease.
Replace the standard exhaust bolts with stainless steel.
Follow the maintenance schedule which probably asks you to
torque them up every x000 miles, but loosen them first.

On a bike with a radiator, get your grannie to knit a cover to
protect your knuckles and the fins while working.
