When schools of fish were studied, it was found that the leaders had
    brain damage.
We, the public should therefore demand a similar study be carried out on
    our leaders.

If you replaced every instance of "motorcycle rider" with "traffic
police officer" I don't think it would be too far from the truth, and
the police hierarchy would probably back them up.

I do have a problem with this bit though... "Most riders interviewed did
not appear to regard riding at very high speeds - (for example) more
than double the speed limit - as intrinsically unsafe."

If they were interviewing a whole bunch of dead motorcyclists then maybe
they would have a point, but assuming that all those interviewed had not
died, this itself is proof that the whole concept of riding at very high
speeds being _intrinsically_unsafe_ is a furphy. They're just using
biased and emotive terms to justify a false assumption.

That would surely amount to a 200% IQ increase, but then I feel sorry for
that poor dog's brain having to exist in that decrepit carcase.

How many times have you been mown down then?
Don't be silly. Speed limits don't apply to motorcycles. EVERYONE knows
    that.
What makes you think speeding caused all or any of the deaths?
Apparently he's doing all of the above witth resounding success too.
But I heard that you take it up the ass regularly.

    fills you mouth with dead
Never heard of protection? Obviously your parents haven't.

I'd be OK with cars providing that all window glass be removed,
compulsory use of helmets for drivers and passengers, stereos, DVD
players, GPS systems and telephones be banned.

  8. So smoooooooooooth, mate... We simply can't compete in your presence!

    Just make sure to clean the coolant off your bed (and hide the Fleshlight);
wouldn't want to give anyone the wrong impressions ;-)

.....in exactly the same way 'stupid' drivers break the law and weave in
and out of traffic. Luckily, not all road uses are 'stupid'. Rather than
a 'them vs. us' attitude, you could open your eyes a bit and realise we
    all share the road.

Same as above. Some cars speed, some bikes speed.......but not all.
When it comes to being in the middle of a line of cars, I will 'bend the
rules' and get out the front where I'm less likely to be the meat in a
    tailgate crash sandwich!

About as intrinsically unsafe as Ferrari doing twice the speed limit.
Your ten year old Toyota Corolla with stuffed shocks is not designed for
these sorts of speeds, performance bikes are!

Do you think unplanned high speeds at a time and place to maximise risk
    is a better option?

Of course motorcyclists try to minimise risks.....

Just when I thought you might have a screw loose, a whole packet of
    screws fall out your mouth!

Have you ever ridden a motorcycle? these days we have vented leathers to
keep us cool and save our skin, full face helmets to keep the bugs off
our faces and we are all going to die 'sooner or later'. Just look at
your road toll and see how many car drivers die each year, you are far
from immune from 'sooner or later' death yourself.

All sounds entirely reasonable, except for the 2-smoke bit. And I haven't
owned a kickstart only bike in 40 years and not one with a kickstart option
    for 32.

Motorcyclists thumb their noses at the law. They ride very
dangerously, weaving in and out of traffic at excessive speeds.
Motorcyclists make other road-users nervous because you never know
when some idiot motorcyclist is going to undertake (illegally) over
the speed limit (illegally) and suddenly pop out of your blind spot
just as you are about to change lanes.
I am astounded that motocyclists seem to think it is their god-given
right to ride like fools on the public road.
I believe the road death stats bear me out.

I believe any objective analysis of the risk involved in having an
accident due to weaving in and out of traffic at excessive speed
    beaqrs me out.

I recall the water-filled balloon-like feeling of a motorcyclists head
after he had stacked his bike at excessive speed and struck a steel
railing outside my school oval many years ago.
