I agree. Which is why my suggestion a long time ago (NNTP passim) to fit
cars with (gloss) paintball guns so drivers can 'tag' dodgy drivers
    seems a better bet.

Stay away from the rainbow coloured cars...

Life is too short to worry about a second to put a handbrake on - yet you
    don't mention all the negatives.

    Strange world we live in.

Yep, it is a driving newsgroup, where I presume we talk about driving.
Funnily enough, I love making scale models, yet I have never mentioned it
    here ...

If you can't answer the substantive points in my post (which you seem to
    have snipped), why bother replying?

I've read your reply several times, and I can't see the relevance of either
    sentence.

I use the handbrake, at lights and so forth, if I need to prevent the car
from rolling forward or back. Mined ewe, when I had a Rangie with an
auto-box, it would hold station quite nicely without me bothering.

Strange planet _you_ live on, it would seem. Why not try and focus, if
you really need to try and whinge about driving standards, on some of
the real problems, rather than grasping at irrelevancies like this?

It is a real problem - cars being held on the clutch rolling back and
forwards - lets hope the car behind you isn't shunted forward - all for the
    sake of lifting a lever.

You prove my point about laziness perfectly.

My God! You're *right*! And if there was a crocodile of children walking
in front of the car at the time, they could all be *killed*! And one of
them might have grown up to find a cure for cancer! What a fool I've
    been!

Is there any other wisdom you would like to share with us, Oh Master?

No. It's not. How many people were killed or injured in
handbrake-related accidents in the last 12 months?

Good point. And what about all these electronically-controlled ones on

Really? You should have tried asking a direct question rather than
waffling on and trying to improve the non-existant inaccuracies of my
    attributions.

For the simple fact of the matter is, there's certain people I have
blocked. Sometimes one only sees certain posts when they're replied to.

Im sure you can understand that?

Regardless, the attributions are still accurate and correct.

Trying to demonstrate your wit by being evasive and not quite getting to
    the point?

Reading between the lines, I don't consider a "Bye" as a signature
anymore than I would consider "Hello" as a header. Therefore I do not
    believe a signature is required.

Can you spell "Get a life and get to the point instead of wasting
everyones time on pathetic analogies and feeble wit"?

You're a nut. In that case it's the car behind that takes the
majority (if not all) of the liability. It must be quite rare
    compared to other driving issues.
You prove my point about masturbating perfectly; as in your father
    should have more often.

It's hardly dazzling but many's the time I've sat in the dark in
stationary traffic on a motorway fantasising about killing the **** in
front of me who's got his foot on the footbrake for 10 minutes plus.

That's because the primary, immediate negative isn't *his* negative
(dazzling). And the others are too far in the future to worry about.

How is that going to work?
The only cameras are on the Matrix sign gantries.

And on the M62 western stretch, they are usually either pointed up on
the barton aerodrome flight path, or out toward a particularly
interesting tree (next to the similar but much less interesting tree)
while the sign displays "50" advisories and we are stationary thinking
    "Fucking wishful that is".
