For me, it was watching Nicole Cooke win both the Olympic *and* world
titles for the womens cycling road race. OK, she's Welsh and a bit of
a munter, but you can't have everything. It was an absolutely stunning
performance from her this year, well worthy of the recognition.

**** knows why that Ohuruogu bird is in the running, she was lucky to
be competing at all. I don't care whether she was actually taking drugs
or not, as a professional athelete, she had a responsibility to make
sure she complied with all the anti doping rules and regs.
If you failed to comply with the terms of your employment contract
three times in a row, with warnings, you would justifiably expect to get the
    sack.

    You will be.

Your worst nightmare starts today because guess who's going to be in
Bridgnorth for the rest of the week?

Heh, just down the A449. Working at Buildwas, or is it a state secret?
Fancy a visit to the Cider House?

    You ****. I've just started a 5 day course of strong anti-biotics
and have been told in no uncertain terms that drink is definitely
off the menu. Nice cup of tea?

That, or he'll be working 'up the star', Bridgnorth
Aluminium as it is now called.

    That sounds more like it.

I might be a bit careful about how much beer I drink after having the
nice policeman make me take a test this morning and then asking me
exactly how much I'd had last night.

Shit myself? Just a bit. The **** was taking the piss though and burst
out laughing at how worried I looked.

    Why not?

It'll have to be Wednesday night because we'll be done in a couple of
    days.

I'd say where I'm working but someone would x-post it to the fucking
trainspotters and the jihad would resume.

I'm stopping in the Black Horse in Bridgnorth which is in the lower
town area about 30 yards from the bridge. Loads of parking at a
council car park with pedestrian access to the back of the pub.

I'll give you a bell tomorrow once I've verbally abused Shrek and
sorted out some kind of a plan. I'll post whatever we're doing on here
so Pete can come along and laugh at me explaining todays misdemeanours
    yet again.
