    I wondered that.
A few weeks ago they were /The Thing/ to have - best thing since sliced
    bread an' all that.

Nothing is wrong with it. Due to a, erm, misunderstanding, I ended up
with a new one and a second hand one. I'm selling the second hand one.

  8. And if you like your Halvarssons Safety suit now, just wait until you
receive the full mesh outers. :)

    <looks out of window>

Does it come with a built-in lightening conductor then?

No, I'm selling a second hand one. When it goes to somebody else it'll
    become third hand.

How many sleeves would that have, Mister?

Sadly I moved mine onto Platy. I did find it a little heavy and movement
restrictive, no doubt the argument is about keeping armour in place but
it doesn't do much for comfort. That wasn't why it had to go all the
same, it was technical and impressive enough to keep. After a few years
of diabetes, despite being well controlled, my cold weather circulation
is utterly hopeless. It's replacement will have to be a Gerbing heated
job to match their gloves. The Halv was too close fitting to get a
Chilli waistcoat or the likes in. Perhaps this would be a worthwhile
alternative to the outlast liner, which I didn't find of any use.

  13. No need. Non-conductive material. Add Derriboots (remember them) and
laugh at high voltage electrical discharges. ~~:)

  14. Shame. It is meant to be close-fitting, working best when worn with
only perspiration-wicking long sleeved vest and longjohns (Outlast, in
my case - I don't use the zip-in/out Outlast liners either). As I have
reported in earlier threads, I don a close-fitting sweatshirt once the
mercury drops well into single figures, and find this sufficient even
when the temperature drops below zero. Above 10 C, the sweatshirt is
unnecessary and between that and 35C (the highest ambient temperature I
have experienced since my suit arrived in May last year) comfort is
controlled by using the part-mesh or full-mesh outers as necessary.

You would probably have got along better with one size larger, to take
    the heated vest.

Ah yes, the trailriders footwear of choice, right up to the point where
    they kick their first rock.

Hah. I actually managed to stub my toe rather painfully the other
weekend, even though I was wearing FOAD MX boots.

I've still got a pair, though they tend to be used as wellies these
    days.

The larger was too long in the arm and Graham was all about it being
close fitting for the armour. Shouldn't be a problem to offer a heated
    inner really!

That's the trouble with MX boots - you just stub your toe on the inside
of the boot instead of the rock. Thick spongy socks rock.

I was swanning about in one at Sedan the other week. Fashionwise, they're
    dead in the water.
