Because dying for a pair of cunts like bush and blair is a futile
waste and stopping that from happening should take a higher priority
than catching a stupid little child who's vandalised a few old cars.

I don't think what they are doing is a waste or futile, just very badly
    managed and implemented

It does that and also I think the research is biased and flawed.

No you haven't - as I said in my reply to Cab, I got that bit wrong.

    Quite happy to admit that!

  7. **** That.

Make them fix it. Teach them how much hassle they caused, teach them
usefull skills so that they can get a job, teach them to take pride in
building something. Get the damage fixed.

Note that I never said anything about EU working time directive. If
they're too busy to do anything other than sleep, then they can't get
up to mischiev, right? 12 hr days should be right on the money for
curbing excess energies. Person who fixes the most damage in a day is
allowed a beer. Rest get table water.

I say bring back work gangs. Fits the crime(for property crimes), is
for the public good, teaches people that they can work.

Basically, the prats (assuming it wasn't a paid revenge job) need to
get out of their rut. Massive positive feed back for anything positive
they do, massive negative feedback for anything negative they do.
    Should get them sorted out.

On second thoughts... angle grinder. To the Bollocks.

  8. A smaller version of the classic collection incident happened in a place
I worked, about 30 years back.
It was a Rootes main dealer and on one weekend the workshop and showroom
weren't as packed as usual with customers' cars being left in until
Monday for servicing or sales work to be carried out.

First thing that greeted us on Monday morning when the shutters went up
was the sight of a brand new Humper firmly embedded in the wall.
Avengers were lying tossed about and various other cars were smashed
into vertical support beams, walls and each other. It was like the
aftermath of a particularly good session on the Dodgems.

We reckoned that they were originally after the safe in the office and
had tried to smash through the wall with the first car, but after that
proved unsuccessful they had snookered themselves, as the Avenger in
question had collapsed so comprehensively at the front they couldn't
move it out of the way, so they just carried on in a bit of mayhem.

Three or four cars were total write-offs[1], one or two needed
re-shelling [2] and the remaining ones were repairable at the firm's
expense. I never found out if the insurance companies paid out for the
full amount of damage, but the owner was looking a bit anxious for a
    while.

I must admit, I was impressed at the amount of damage caused in such a
short run up - the workshop and showroom weren't huge.

[1] A couple of those belonged to customers. You can imagine the
awkwardness of trying to explain to somebody that, sorry, their car, far
from being ready to collect, was actually a wreck.

[2] The new ones were worth re-shelling.

Here's an interesting little statistic. The number of children killed by
strangers every year - you know, the sort the Daily Bile warns against - is
around three to five. The number killed by their own family is something in
the hundreds. (Traffic is a far greater danger to children.) But then, we
all know that the media love spreading cobblers; the group at greatest
danger of being attacked in the street is young males aged 18 to 25, but
no-one ever says that, do they.

it doesn't prevent re-offence in the first type - crimes of passion -
because those are generally one offs. Having got rid of the person
they hated there's no desire or need to till anyone else. (I don't
think I'd include armed robbers in the same Category, though.)

In what way do you fhint the research is biased and flawed ? Apart
from not supporting your own prejudice?

Mind you, I know a private dentist who's a little older than me, well he
owns 3 dentist practises, he's made an absolute fortune.

Hmm, well the one I know spent >700k on a house about 5 years ago, has
put three kids through (decent) private school, had horses, boats, cars
etc. so I *hate* to think how much income 35 practises could gross.

A point on the 'secure' site. It was. It ain't no more.
It's an ex-business park, scheduled for demolition in the very near
future. All the old firms have moved out, while the funding to help
them was still in place. The 24 hour security guards have gone, the now
broken down and vandalised gatehouse a testament to their necessity in
    that particular area.

For Mr Hull to store his vehicles in that location[1], I suspect he is
either a penny pinching fool, or simply a thick ****. There are loads
of much more secure units in Newport, they don't cost a whole heap
more, and a lot of them are within a mile of his current location.

If he left the keys there too, he needs a lesson in security.

Oh. I suppose he got one eh?

Nor would I, although knowing the area, my money's on the teenagers.
The type that don't realise GLC are taking the piss out of _them_.
