I think I covered this particular piece of snakeoil last year and
someone (like Ace) turned some calculations of how much air the little
bugger would *actually* need to flow to provide a performance boost.
Still, if you can get enough folk to buy them, why not!

The nice bit about this scam - some folk do get a MPG improvement,
because as an inlet restrictor it reduces the full throttle cross
section. Slower=economical. There might be easier ways to achieve the
same effect!

Yup, she's been there, done that with me. A few years ago I could have
auditioned for *both* halves of the Chemical Brothers!

Hell fire ! these are nothing new. They were around when I was an
apprentice so, that'll be err .. 1982. I don't think it's a restrictor,
but it has prongs to introduce swirl on the inlet charge in the
manifold. (referred to in the press at the time as looking like a
'jagged bottle top')

The boy racers of the time used to fit them to minis.

I still have no idea if they work or indeed have any effect.
