    Folks.

Having just received the quote from my local dealer for the smash
repairs to my bike - and laughed at the ridiculous amount involved - I'm
now on the lookout for someone who might do it cheaper.

Anyone know someone in Sydney who does fibreglass repaires on farings
without charging more than buying a whole new faring.

Failiny that, which wreckers are recommended I keep an eye on?

    Thanks.

  2. Fibreglass?

    How badly damaged?

You can do it yourself. (If you have more time than me, you will actually
get it finished, too!) What sort of bike are we talking?

In the states we use Corvette epoxy and you buy the white
fiber glass. You just dab the epoxy into the glass.
The job comes out perfect. Think of it as easy bodywork.
Nothing to it if you take the time to a good job.

I've now had a look more closely at it, and it's thoroughly fscked. :)
It's a K100RS, and the major break is the windshield/wind deflector at
    the top of the faring.

Both of the uprights are broken off completely.

I'm just gonna do an ugly but workable saw off the raggedly bits job,
seal it with some epoxy or similar, and be done with it.

As long as it's rideable and pases rego, I'll live with it. It's not
like I'm fashion conscious or anything. :)

I don't wanna know what you're using for the nest, Clem.
