thought I had just a cold but it has turned into the farking flu.
And I am on bloody holidays and stuck at farking home and am
due to head off in a few days Now the choice I have is to
head of a few days early and reduce the distances travelled
each day or wait at home and hope the FF runs it path.

There is a 3rd option, drink plenty and hope the alcohol
kills the bugs but after last night is appears to have made things
    worst

Here is a great day outside, blue sky and just about the perfect
Sunday and here I am stuck in this dump. Christ, I want to commit
    violence ...............

Yeah, head up to Queensland while you're sick. You're going to be sick
regardless, so you may as well be sick where the weather is better. Riding
will probably be a good distraction.

dripping out , but it does make a mess of your helmet :_)

Option no 2: Visit the doctor and get a medical certificate. Days spent
feeling shit can be written off as sick leave, and in the meantime you
don't lose those valuable leave days.

I wonder if a couple of large size ear plugs plugged
in the nose will control that problem

You got those new tyres yet, Will? Wouldn't want to be unwell on worn
    tyres.

    I agree!
I toured the factory on Thursday and I now firmly believe in "Qld Diesel"'s
    restorative powers.

.... unless you have a medical certificate to support having your annual
leave days on which you were sick transferrd to sick leave, and the leave
    days reinstated.
    Try it.

Some employers aren't as flexible as others. My employer reinstates annual
leave at the manager's discretion, and only where there is significant
interruption to the holiday i.e. you are in hospital. They argue that if you
break your arm on the first day of a 3 week Queensland holiday, you might lose
1 day getting it plastered, but after that, you're still on holidays, and
you're still in Queensland, so your holiday isn't a complete loss; they'll
    reinstate 1 day's leave.

Well my employer goes strictly to the Award . I have more chance
of winning lotto then them letting me use sick leave.. Actually a fellow
worker had the bloody thing so I should put a claim in for Workers
Comp. The Ironic thing is that the Company paid for its workers to have
    flu shots this year.

I now feel worst then before but will be on the bike Wed or Thurs and
I reckon that Cairns sunshine will cure my ailments if they still exist by
    the time I get there
