My ex Harley (two) owning pal who bought that horrendous Ducati Sport Classic thing is now an ex Ducati Sport Classic owner and is now a Honda CB 1300 owner. That is all. Oh, actually it's not. I told him "Two weeks" when I clapped eyes on the Duc. It turned out to be a little optimistic. Two DAYS. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
He just doesn't know what he wants, but he knows it's a bike and he knows how to drop one. I've just seen him and he told me he managed to drop the Honda on its test ride. Front brake (again) halfway through a U turn. So that's ALL the bikes he's owned that have had a lie down. Btw, I've no idea how big (or otherwise) his dick is. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
Yebbut hanging around with hairdressers does tend to raise certain suspicions <B-). FFS, get the stupid prat onto a cheap 500 or less ratbike until he learns to ride, that way he can drop it as often as he likes. When he has stopped dropping it he can move up to a 600 sprot for a year before he should be safe to let loose on something bigger. And educate him about seat heights, if he can get his feet down he might manage to stay upright.

We're not talking a few years and a few thousand miles between drops (come to think of it....) we're reaching the point it'll be a few thousand drops and half a dozen miles. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
I'l have you know that a hairdresser is like a fine wine. Find one that does the job properly and you hang ONTO him, rather than hang AROUND with him. This guy's better than Teensy Weensy. Anything less than 10 grand IS a cheapshit rat-bike where he's concerned. He doesn't do tat. I think he'll need a bit more convincing before he goes from a Nonda 1300 to a shite 600 anything. This isn't about being a butch biker, this is about "making a statement". Exactly WHAT the statemet is, I've yet to find out, but he can't make it with a 600 ratter. Even *I* don't put my feet down when I'm riding and he's been riding every time he's dropped a bike. He has a front brake problem. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
I take you've suggested he try using the rear brake once in a while, or at least before he's bought whatever it is he's taking for a testride?
I've done more than that, I've demonstrated how not to fall off doing a U-turn, but when he sees the kerb, he heads for it and then.... forgets "stuff". -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
Not so's you'd notice. He picks his new steed up tomorrow, so I expect to see some paint missing very shortly. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
