Just replaced the weedy meep meep roadrunner type horn installed on the K
[1] for a Stebel Magnum ..... jeepers they're foghorn ish in their B-A-R-P
    sound.

I fitted one a few weeks ago on the BoxerCup and it was a doddle simply
replacing the original. I was a bit worried about the K as I'd heard that
things were a bit tight under the fairing but to be honest it was easy and
    space was plentiful.

Highly recommended cheap horn upgrade for any bike.

[1] nowhere near as good as the twin foghorns that were fitted to the
    K100RS's I've had

Very much so! If it wakes one dozy motorist up then it'll pay for itself :)

We have an office right above a very busy M&S depot & carpark. Oh what fun
we had connecting it up to a 12v battery with the window open. Every time a
women started to reverse we hit the switch :) It was fucking hilarious...

I've got a Stebel Nautilus which I keep threatening to fit to my Suzuki
GSX750F. When you say it was simply a matter of replacing the original, do
you mean you fitted it without a relay or was your old unit already relayed?

The Magnum simply replaces the original, although I bought a CANBUS adapter
cable so I didn't have to cut the original wiring.

As I understand it the Nautilus requires a relay.

I ran one on my GSX without a relay, fitted just up under the fairing on
a bracket made from some car radio fitting strips curled around the
    subframe tube.

Dunno what happens if you hold the horn button down for a full minute
but the wiring all held up to normal blasts.

Nah, leave it as it is.

If the horn doesn't get their attention the smoke and flames definitely
    will.

The switching problem (if any) will be the making & breaking of the
circuit, not the duration. Oh, unless the wiring catches fire, of
    course...

It was first class of my mate to even think of it. In fact, i might buy
another just for the laugh of it. They are so loud it's unreal, especially
    in an office :)

You have to make your own entertainment up north don't you? I bet the
long summer evenings just fly past with larks like that.

  15. They are fucking great aren't they. I scared myself first time I used them.
I'm sure the twat that was about to step into the road thought there was a
    ferry coming.

  18. They certainly do. A dozy bint in a Lardover was straying into my lane,
but when a blast from my Pheersome Noisiness hit her she nearly rammed
the barrier on the left side of the road.
