The Chief Operating Officer of our company waltzes up to my desk this
    afternoon:
"I need to you to do a seminar next week - how does your Monday look?"

    Heh

"Fantastic - I'll be in Thailand"

    "Bugger".

See you all in a fortnight
U all play nicely now ;-)

I had a similarish chat to my boss today. He asked how I'd resolve a
particular problem - I said I'd resign. He eventually said "that's an
    odd solution".

Even more of a cheapskate than you know - going to meet a business
contact (also a friend) for dinner on Tuesday at this place as she and
her other half happen to be in Bangkok at the same time as us...

It looks terrifying but as its going on her corporate card, I don't
    care...
