Wtf man, I was without power for like 24 hours, and there are sticks all
in my yard, there's a piece of flashing and like 6 shingles missing from
my roof, and I'm off work for an indeterminate amount of time while they
replace the transformer that assploded. Where's my travel trailer and
    debit card?

Really I'm just here to give props to the local governmental entities,
who seem to have done a pretty decent job of managing the current chaos.
Yet another reason not to vote for a socialist federal government.

Also, Channel 13 Weatherwoman Casey Curry has a nice rack, but Channel
11 on the scene reporter Leticia Juarez takes the overall hottie title.

The Concours made it thru the storm fine, and I've had time to fix that
sticky gas cap lock. Jerry is probably doing all kinds of upgrades to
the Valkyrie about now. Or maybe finishing up the trike.

==which of the two candidates are you making reference to, above, in
    your humble opinion?
If it's Baroma, then above could be a good thang;. If it's McKane, its
the same and could be a good thang.
Both are for big government, and big government is FEMA, and that's a
good thang, cause theyre down there doing a ''pretty decent job'', as
    you pointed out!
The President talked to the nation this morning, telling ''us'' how bad
he feels, and what all the Govt's gonna do.
Mr.Biffb Did I miss your point, or did I improve on it? (note: I am
glad you werent damaged too bad)

missed it by a country mile. i believe i said that the LOCAL government
    was doing a good job.

for the most part though, I'ld credit the electric companies with the
quick recovery here in far northwest Harris county.

===well biffb, you said:--''yet another reason not to vote for a
socialistic Federal govt.'' this is what prompted me to say what i
said, and ended up missing your point by a Texas country
mile......sorry about that. I meant what I said though. Bothe parties
are for big government these modern days. oh well, just trying to
stur some 'shit up', on this demured NG. (have a good'un, ya

right, so if the local government is doing a better job than the federal
government, do you really wanna give the federal government MORE authority?

stirrin' the shit my own self, cause I'm bored.

gonna go change the fluids in my tractor now.

it's a raggedy ass 600 series, and has about the same horsepower as a Buell.

========I said that about ''both parties'' being for big government.
(because) You know the principle negative issues about ''democrats''
has always been that they are for big govt, and republicans are not.

That is a crock. Republicans, for 8 years have really been for big
government. Look what all theyve done with tax payer money. Theyve drove
    us almost into a deppression.
Although I personally believe bailing out AIG, last Saturday, was the
responsible thing to do, otherwise, Wall street would likely have
crashed like in 1928....so that's a case of big government saving the
people's investments. (Like me, just like me). Jerry, I realize that
both parties came together to make that important decision, over the
    weekend. <g> JayT=
