Fender Eliminator - Legal?

Discussion in 'Texas Bikers' started by Not Impressive, Sep 12, 2003.

  1. I'm thinking about putting a fender eliminator on my SuperHawk to clean up
the look of the rear end. Specifically, I'm looking at one from Competition
Werkes. It has a bracket for the license plate, but no room for the
inspection sticker. My inspection sticker is currently stuck on my rear
fender under the license plate (there's plenty of room for it).

So my big question is: is it legal in Texas to put the inspection sticker
somewhere other than on the rear fender area? Does it have to be facing
rearwards? I was thinking I could put it on the swingarm, or perhaps an
    even less conspicuous place.

Any thoughts on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Group - Sorry for the repeated messages. My program kept telling me the
messages were getting rejected. Obviously, they weren't!

Steve - Thanks for clearing that up. I'm still not convinced I'll do the
fender eliminator. I certainly don't want to do something just for looks
that's going to (potentially) cause me trouble later.

Dude, why would you want to eliminate a Fender. They are perfectly good
    musical instruments!

    :)

I think he meant Freddie Fender. And he's gonna be pissed when he finds out
    someone's out to eliminate him.
