On my way to work today on the bike, as I approach the end of the
Bingley bypass coming the other way there's a bunch of retards dressed
like Pudsey bear getting a right fucking from the Police. I went past &
the queue the idiots had caused was a stunning three fucking miles on a
road with only one exit, right where they whre collecting for children
in fucking need. Stopping traffic to do so.

I wasn't affected by the stupidity, but hundreds of folk trying to get
    to work where.

    FFS.

CIN never really featured on my radar until I worked there. Ugh. So much
    forced jollity.

I often wonder how long I'd last working for a large organisation. I
used to think in days but this post made me realise it would be minutes.

    It's not just me then?

It's worse than Christmas; advertised relentlessly for weeks on end
prior to the event, to the extent that I'm pissed off with it before
it's close to starting, and then it consists of hours of a load of
'celebs' that I've never fucking heard of because I don't watch the
    mindless crap that they're in.
    I'm making plans.

And just to counter the above rant, I have no problem with the
    *concept* of CIN at all.

Umm, is it tonight, then? I seem to have managed to miss all this run-up
    to it completely.

    In communiqué
I can't stand it either. The lad will, however, be pleading to be
allowed to stay up late to watch it though.

I'm just off to Waitrose. Our local store currently issue everyone with
a charity token at the checkout. Three permanent collecting boxes at the
exit for you to choose from. Mine always goes in the special needs
children (oops sorry 'mong brats') box.

I'm guessing they may have a CIN one today.

I'll be in the Rising Sun on Creed Lane, The City. 33% of my London
team are having a joint leaving do.

You obviously don't listen to BBC radio, watch BBC TV or read the BBC
    news website then.

Nope, no mention of it on the front page of news.bbc.co.uk at all. Nor
did I notice any mention during Today on R4 this am. Mind you, I missed
    the first half hour.

IMHO it ought to be 'a good thing' and I support the concept ... but I
work in an Infants and Junior school and the false 'forced happiness'
the thing exudes is really sickening. They had a non-uniform day where
every child not in uniform had to 'donate' ?1. Now that's fine but in
our area ?1 is at best awkward for some people, 'secially those with
more than one child, so those who can't do it get the inevitable
ribbing and piss-taking off the other children.

Headmistress asked me to join in by wearing a suit and tie ... FFS, I'm
a caretaker, which is why I wear Matalan ?1 a pack of three t-shirts
and ?5 jeans, so unless they buy me a suit I ain't fucking up one of my
own ... 'specially as I leave 15 minutes after classes start and start
work again 30 minutes before they end so the kids barely see me anyway!!
Heh, whereabouts and can anyone join in, I feel like getting bladdered
    .... ;)

Proper students treat it as an excuse for a pub crawl.

The BBC homepage (www.bbc.co.uk) currently mentions it. It's been
advertised frequently between TV programmes but I'll admit that I
rarely listen to R4 so if that's a CIN-free zone, then I'll have to
    start listening.

It's *this* evening? Aw, crap: I thought it was last week, and was
congratulating myself on having avoided it completely.

Never mind, I've got a huge pile of unwatched movies and TV series to
    get through.

But only in the BBC1 schedule, low on the page. No large pics of that
fucking bear or any other actual plugs. Not like Charlie's b-day.
