Finally got round to seeing it - I liked it.

Difficult to describe. Stylised, funny, bleak - British Amelie, surreal
    Withnail? Rather sad in all.

Not Boosh but stand out failed Matador [1] from Noel Fielding, dog milk
drinking tramp from Julian Barratt and Richard Ayodae as a museum curator.

Christ, I haven't heard that since just after "A Fistful of Travellers
    Cheques" hit the screens

That's a hell of a film for it to live up to ... especially when it's
got the utterly talentless, unfunny and amazingly irritating Noel
Fielding in it and it's directed by the bloke behind the unremittingly
    shite Mighty Boosh.

heh, comedy is odd though, it's always 'marmite' to me, you either love it,
    or hate it.

I used to love Vic Reeves big night out in the early 90's....'Whats on the
    end of the stick, Vic?'

Ridiculous, but it used to make me piss.

well, Nige, I *know* *you* have no taste; I'd foolishly expected
    better of Veggie.
yes; a very, very badly subtitled download[1] though. I think we've
subsequently acquired legit copies of the full set, but I've not seen
    them yet.

[1] so bad it made me laugh all the way through, which isn't really
the aim of the film (especially, I guess, the anal rape scene).
