Don't pick lane 3a for extended periods though; did this recently and
found out why I normally didn't do this. The lane drops away at the
edge pulling you towards the gravel and shit that's in the central
    reservation.

Indeed. Plus one sometimes gets twatted on the knee by a stray cone
that's been left near the centre [1][/QUOTE]

Oh, that wouldn't happen on the K100, the fairing would take care of the
    stray cones.

He (I'm assuming) probably does that route every day. He's on some sort of
400 four, which is light, skinny and agile with decent brakes, and he's
keeping it nicely on the boil. You can see the way he's looking through
each tight spot to the safe gap beyond. He's riding within his limits. I
think the camera position exaggerates the scariness of it.

TBH I've done shit like that on the Drifter.

  4. One or two hairy moments but nothing a lot of couriers don't do every
day of the week. What makes it look worse is the narrow camera view -
most of those gaps were bigger than they appear.

I'm glad I packed that lark in though; by the end I was riding like that
all the time and really stacking the odds up against me.

Don't love it, learn to hate it. Hate it with venom and from that
    understand it's ways.

We all say that. It will change with experience.

We all say that too. This won't change with experience though.

Extra time to be used posting to ukrm, what a bonus!
