    And breathe.

Bit of vibration and clunkiness round the n/s footrest, will have to
check the adjustment and lubrication of the (new) chain.

If I'd entitled the thread "I've finally mentioned to T that I've bought
a Hayabusa" then you could have been right

And the brakes don't work. I suspect looking at the MOT and service
history it's not seen much action in the last 18 months and needs
    freeing off.

But this is just window dressing; the going cunting fast bit seems to be
    working fine.

On the R1, the chain box says 20-25mm deflection, i think thats way too
    tight personally.

35mm with you sitting on it would be more realistic. I run my CBR600
with 50mm of slack on track

They were the widest MX bars I could get, for a reason. If I'd got
narrower ones the cables would have been too long and it would have
cost a fortune to have new ones made in shorter lengths

  11. Aren't they the same 6-pot Tokicos as on my 750 SRAD? I find them
    quite good.

I really must try/buy a 'busa one day...

  12. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Nige
    Amazing.

No swear words, and yet possibly the filthiest thing you've ever posted.

Fast, smooth, but not for me. BTW, the brakes really are shit. My K12s
had the *best* brakes of any bike i have ever owned or rode.

I'm keeping my eye out for one at the moment. I'd love to have one in
    time for the TOG Tour...

Gyp's 'busa looks lovely, from the pictures.

  18. Have you considered the fact that this ^ might be something to do with
    that you confess about?

    [of a Hayabusa]
It's a case of getting the Sprint MOTd and serviced to sell it
privately, or finding a decent one at a dealer to PX it as is, which is
    probably the simplest option.
This year the FBC looks a bit depleted, so I'll probably just go for a
    nice little pootle instead )
What year & mileage is it?[1]

The pics are from the eBay auction so the seller blanket them out. No
idea why, especially as being a trader the log book wouldn't have his
    address on.

I would put my own pics up but his drive's a lot neater than mine. That
and the fact you lot would take the piss now it's got a topbox.

Anyway it's an 03 RZ model with 11K on the clock and doesn't look like
any of those miles have been outdoors.

It's now got the SW Motech rack & Givi box, Garmin 2610 GPS on a
Telferiser mount and hope to get the Scottoiler on this weekend and sort
out the chain tension/alignment. Hopefully I can sort the couple of
    missing fairings fastners too.

Should sort me out for the 200 or so miles that I'll probably end up
doing this year. Today's miles are being done on the R80 and a bus
