I'm tempted. Seriously. Especially now that I've 99% decided to admit defeat
on the GB mainland and withdraw from Porker ownership.

It isn't 100% because of the effect it has on beautiful but astoundingly
    shallow young women.

If you're interested in that one I'd get your offer in sooner rather
than later as I've been in contact to point out his error and it seems
he's wavering over selling at the mo.
Because let's be fair, they tend not to be impressed by an old cold
bloke going past at near light speed screaming "cunting **** buckets" at
    the top of his voice.

    I think they've got a point.

    Aside 1: I've remembered why when I got of Champ's I decided it wasn't
    for me

Aside 2: 35mpg (based on the on board thingy) isn't great for such an
aerodynamic bike being ridden in the dark on an easy A-road trip by err me.

    Aside 3:
    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

    Suzuki, innit. Make great gearboxes, make entertaining, cheap bikes;
    make crap fuel consumptions.

If (when?) I get a 'busa, the fuel consumption will be the least of my
    worries.

[1] This space left for ogden to post that I'll only use three and a
half litres of fuel in a year anyway.

The GS500 is very economical on fuel. The Busa drinks it like any other
engine that extracts lots of horses per litre. Crap economy is the price
you pay for riding an (admittedly nice) crotch rocket.

Why is it that old fuckers refer to sports bikes as 'crotch rockets'?

I'm pondering 'Busa ownership as well.

I can't really afford to have two bike, but I'm now spoilt by having
    hard cases for touring.

So replacing the GSXR and the Bandit with a new Busa and a full set of
Givi luggage might be the way to go. Almost sportsbike handling and
silly power coupled with the practicality of the Bandit.

Shame about the fuel consumption and tank range, but you can't have
    everything.

Have I told you my Bandit is giving me 47mpg[1]?

    My GSXR isn't, mind.

[1] I've been quite sad and been tracking the running costs from new.
Mainly because it's a commuter and I need to be able to compare it to
other bikes and cars to figure out how much it'll cost me to get to
    work.

Because we have grown out of the midlife crisis and the need to display
our virility. Relax, a few more years and you will be content to take
    life easy.

Oh, if it can do 150 then that's fine. No worse than the Bandit.

Sounds like a Spring '11 plan then.

Yeah, everyone knows the real crotch rocket is kept in your pants, only
to be taken out for special occasions.
