Got the ZZR back today. The bloke didn't really seem to know what his mechanic had done to make it go but it's had the carbs cleaned out and new plugs as well as whatever had to be done to make it go sparky spark. It serpently goes a lot better than it did before, VBG from both me and the eldest boy when I took him for a spin. <Hangs head in embarrassment time> Went to the petrol station to fill up. Got about 100 yards further down the road and the bike cuts out. I start cursing the bloke who sold it to me then a tiny voice in my head says "You didn't turn the petrol on did you?" -- Malc Rusted and ropy. Dog-eared old copy. Vintage and classic, or just plain Jurassic: all words to describe me.
Dunno really. I thought the bike smelt a bit petrolly so I turned it off. Shan't make that mistake again. -- Malc Rusted and ropy. Dog-eared old copy. Vintage and classic, or just plain Jurassic: all words to describe me.
I never touch the fuel tap on any bike unless I'm removing the tank or switching to reserve. This has served me well over the past 32 years
