Just got in from Taffyland - all ninety in the bag.

Just about 5000 miles all in - the poor little CB13's on 6.2k already.

Big vote for Michelin Pilot Road 2's. Really impressed with them.

Yeah, i think they rock too. Done about a thousand miles on my new set 7
they feel very good indeed, with no real road difference than the sports
    they replaced.

I'll never know. I went to have a set put on the V-Strom yesterday, they
had the rear mounted and discovered the 17" front they ordered won't fit
the 19" wheel on the Strom[1]. Os it having Metzler Tourance this time
around as the Avons were awful.

[1] catalog error so I'm told.

ooh, 'eck. Not a pleasant prospect all-round.

I was on a proper motorbike this weekend, it's done 56 of this year's
landmarks, the Wing 33, and the CBX one.

And it's "Candy Spectra Red" if you don't mind.

One of the reasons why I bought a Versys not a V-Strom. Tyre choice is
    limited on the V-strom.

It's better than it used to be. The ickle and big Vstrom take the same size
tyres as the R-GS. You can get everything from pukka off-road tyres like
the Continental TKC80 to sports touring tyres like Bridgestone BT020. Most
people go for intermediates like the Metzeler Tourance, which are fine for
    gentle off-roading like gravel roads.

The Versys takes a 120/70-17 front and a 160/60-17 rear, that makes it
capable of taking almost any sports/touring tyre and plenty of sportier
tyres too. Mine is currently wearing a set of very sticky Avon Vipers
which suit it well. I've no intention of taking it any further off-road
than parking up on the grass at campsites, so can't see the point of
putting trail style tyres on it.
