This isnt by me but Fiona Phillips on GMTV.

"At the risk of incurring the wrath of thousands of motorcyclists... why
are you all such crap drivers?

Overtaking on the inside is illegal, cutting people up on the motorway
is dangerous, and if I'm indicating to turn right you're not supposed to
overtake me. And do you have to tailgate me with your full beam on?

Oh, if you spot me on the road after this, it won't be me. It's someone
    disguised as me."

Several of the XJR-OC have written scathing letters to the bitch, me
included. The most lyrical so far is from darren: -

"It is obvious from your statement that you do not ride a motorcycle. I
find this statement to be very ignorant and not uncommon for the most of
car drives. Only once you have ridden a motorcycle can you full
understand the dangers and obstacles we face everyday. I see people
reading papers and books , putting on makeup , arguing with each other,
taking on the mobile phone with no hands free and worst of all, people
who have no clue on how to use their indicators or mirrors, and I see
this every day. Motorcyclists are always perceived as speeding. This is
because most motorcyclists are moving faster than the traffic, but most
times within the speed limit. I can not say that all bikes stick to the
speed limit but then neither do most cars. If someone has a accident in
there car there is a good chance that they will walk away from it, even
at slow speeds on a motorcycle our chances of walking away from a
accident are very small. I travel to work everyday by bike ( sun , rain
, sleet and even snow once or twice ) and filter like every other bike,
yet the bus lanes stand empty, why is that?

If you think as a driver you have a lot to worry about think about this.
Any sort of painted line in the wet is a nightmare as we loose traction,
drain covers are the worst. The new "bendy" buses that cause so much
congestion because they cannot fit into the designated parking places or
stops also take up to 2 lanes to turn so do not be on the inside of a
"bendy" bus. People jumping red lights are killers and people walking
between cars when there are crossings all over London are just crazy.

I'm not saying that all motorcyclists are angles but then again neither
are all car drives. Why not keep a log of every time someone cuts you
up, speeds past you or is just being stupid.....

I can tell you the results straight away. Car drives are the worst. I
should know, I ride both a car and a bike.

    Best Regards

    Darren"

I suggest that some of you send a bit of the wrath. You can email

And now she will think they are all illiterate as well.
Even *I* use a spill chucker when composing such letters/emails.

Unfortunately Darren appears to be barely literate and incapable of making a
    reasoned argument.

    So, cheers Darren.

    Can I compete with ....

Who the fk is Fiona Philips anyway?
    Seriously:
I've never seen her. 'til now I'd never even heard of her. If she ran up
and bit me in the arse I'd still be clueless who did it. I would think 'who
is this strange women biting me in the arse'? Possibly followed shortly
afterward by 'If she expects payment she can fkoff'.

Clearly with her sanctimonious self-justifying small minded attitude the
best avenue she could take is prolly to FOAD. But that's true of so many
empty headed piss-pot media people what's one more?

I fucking hate people who misuse "ignorant". I agree with Miss Philips and I
intend to write in supporting her view of motorcyclists being illiterate
cnuts or whatever she was talking about.

It's OK. No-one who watches GMTV has a job, very few of them vote and
even less care what the bit of blonde totty on the sofa is actually
    saying.

Methinks all this hot air wasted on my poorly speel chucked post could
have been vented at the perpetrator rather than me and Darren.

I think you take that "biker lifestyle" too seriously. In the scheme
of things, it /doesn't really matter/ what some bint on the telly
says. And it doesn't make any difference what anyone does about it.

As for the XJR-OC, Christ, I can't imagine what all that's about. I
can see the benefit of owner's clubs for specialist, niche areas, like
kitcars, or 1950s BSA motorcycles, but a *club*, for the owners of a
current, mass-produced motorcycle? What on earth is the point of
    that?
