PS - Remember that on Christmas Eve we celebrate the first full six months
of Harsh Week. It will be a special occasion, so why not make a special
effort to be a complete prick to someone?

I believe that google also supports the *first* body line having the
noarchve annotation. Although it is not officially a "header" then, it
is supported for people who use readers that wont allow a true custom
    header.

I do not want you to archive my article(s)! How can I prevent messages
that I post from being archived on Google Groups?

Google supports the 'X-No-archive: yes' header, and we will not archive
any articles that contain this text either in the header or in the first
    line of the message body.

And a disc lock would help against these methods by how much?

  12. On 19/12/03 11:56 AM, in article
I was using nn(tp) in 1992 and they didn't have the x archive set to yes
then (there has to be some reason why my earlier posts weren't there). Cant
find some of my other classic posts to science newsgroups either.

I'm sure one of you nerdy types can tell me about it.

The first thing google groups can find from me is Feb 1996,
but by that time I had my CB250RS and I bought _that_ on the
advice of Zebee et al ...
X-No-Archive: is relatively new, nothing back then would have had
it. Archive Usenet? On what? One of these sci-fi Gigabyte drives,
    eh?

Come on guys, get real - yes it could happen if it was Vincent Black Shadow or
an MV Agusta or something but is anyone REALLY going to go to that much trouble
for a ZZR250? When they could be nicking an R6 from a certain street corner in
Melbourne that doesn't even have a disk lock ?

the car and release the handbrake and push
Then break in to the storage room, smash the
bike yet). Now push the car out of the
straight onto the back and drive off. Not
much, and in any case will be in and out in
there. The car is not providing any security

  15. That¹s why I asked one of you nerdy types to explain it. There used to be
computer labs with though green phos screens that I would while away the
hours when I was doing Engineering (I got better though). If it didn't have
the ability to not archive it, where is it?

We did have Nortel on campus then and they did develop a lot of gear that
was tested at the uni. I'm sure all the gobbley-gook makes more sense to
    you.

I found all the alt and rec groups before the aus ones. I was looking for an
XL185 head for Reg the Phish.

    Hammo

BTW you started that 250 yet? Grown man who cant start Hondas!! Really.

Its owner has absconded with the keys, so it'll have to wait
until she turns up. Didn't trust me not to take it for a
widdoo ride if I got it started, I suspect ...
