    This morning near Bradford.
Full face helmet, T-shirt, shorts, trainers. That's all.
    No socks or gloves.

Should I have announced that I was riding in sandals on Friday?

  3. The usual description of squid is the opposite, no? You've just described
me, and I ain't no squid.

He did have a bike? Only you didn't mention that.

Yesterday one in Roydon (Essex) on a twist-n-go; full-face not done-up,
    footie shorts, flip-flops.

I saw a kid on a scooter yesterday evening - vest, shorts, flip-flops, matt
black open-face lid, shades. I didn't think about what peril he was in,
just how 'tippeek fronsays' he looked.

On the East Lancs Road this afternoon, a bloke on a Ducati Monsterish thing.
He was riding alongside the main road in a sort of slip road but it ends at
a set of lights and takes the traffic across the East Lancs.

The lights for the main road were well and truly on green and we were going
through the lights at anywhere between 60 and 90mph. Dickhead on the Duc
decided the lights meant **** all to him and proceeded to just ride through
them and across a 4 lane road that's not much less than a full on motorway.
I actually don't think he ever saw the lights and he certainly never gave a
glance up the main road. My arse REALLY clenched and I missed the fucking
twat by millimetres and not a lot of them either.

Proper boots, but jeans and a T-shirt, open face lid and no gloves. The bike
looked brand spanking too, but he won't last long if he can't see traffic
    lights.

Sounds a bit overdressed, IYAM. What's wrong with flip-flops, FFS?

Socks or bare feet? The eternal question with sandals.
Far less angst to avoid them altogether.

Certainly, but it costs us money to hose the fucker off the road. Good
quality kit does work, as we all know.

But, if they want to look cool, well, as you say....

Changing the subject slightly, what is the opinion of the learned
    experts on kevlar armoured jeans.
Which ones and are they worth the money ?.

Flip-flops are made of contaminating plastig. We carbon-neutral aware Dagos
ride with "alpargatas" made of natural fibers (unbeatable in high
    temperatures).

(scooter beach-going only, I have air vented boots for summer riding)
