  1. To anyone in the DFW area we will be having a Fish Fry at the VFW Post 4477
on Sunday Feb 26th. Its a good party at $7, live music, all you can eat,
some biker games, and good cheap drinks.

I'll be wandering round every so often, but basically be out back frying up
fish and fries. Here's a flyer in case your interested.

Should be a fun time and decent weather too.

    Elmer,
How did the fish fry go? I tried my best to leave work and come over
there and eat but I kept hitting one road block after another. Did Bill
Walker make it over there to cause you some trouble?? LOL

Dang.. I missed it.. I'd had my face all fixed for fish for a month..
<grumble.. grumble> Maybe we can all get together and talk Elmer into doing
it, again.. Either that, or start working up the old apetite for next year..
hmmmm.. Craving for catfish for a year should entitle me to eat twice as
much as usual, don't you think ? Regards

I was wondering where you were. Did you at least get out on the road a bit?
    Wonderful weather we had.

  5. The Fish Fry went very well. I was hoping for 200 but got around 150. The
number was about equal to last year. This year however the vendors did show
up so we did have vendors for people to checkout. The band was excellent and
people hung around till the band quit. We purchased 120 lbs of fish and
fried 80 lbs in the first 2 hours. We were worried whether it would last but
we had enough. Everyone kept telling us the fish was great and they kept
    coming back for more.
Maybe next year we'll do more, but I'd better buy more fish.
