Nothing worse than a weedy Impact Gun

Are there any FOAK who could advise between a

    Snap-On 18V
    and a
    DeWalt DC820 18v

Something to be up to and including cage wheel nuts.......

550 torques for tightening, more (unspecified) for un-tightening.
    145 torques for tightening.
**** me, it all depends on what they were tightened up with.

You can't beat Snap-on for these things. Well you probably can, but at what
price seeing as they're alreasy silly prices.

You can't beat a compresser and air rattler. Why faff with batteries.

Pisses the neighbours off though ... ;)

I'd opt for a 110v transformer and one of these

You get the big hit to remove stubborn fasteners without the power
drop off that any home compressor suffers from. We've got one at work
and it's fucking ace if the air pressure is causing problems.
    So do the 110v versions.

    Freakin' hell ... £800 quid :-(
heh, this is more my budget

    http://www.tooled-up.com/Product.asp?PID=108173

But I only infrequently need an impact gun, and even more rarely would
I use it on a bike. (I do have a 3/8 drive rattle gun though in this
    case for smaller stuff)

The 1/2" drive rattler is handy on cars, especially around suspension
    joints.

I think I need to open a repair workshop :)

Very VERY handy when you've not got a compressor where you are.
Get a screw compressor, no noise at all.
