With a vague plan, never forget the vague plan.
So you haven't got a buyer for the pictures of yet another great
retreat from the snow bound wastes? Nor have I.

I'm sure he's keeping track of it all and will demand payment at a
rate of £1 = 1 pint once we reach Norway.

btw, did you sort out all the parts for your Scottoiler because I've
got a couple of bits left over after fitting mine.

Spares? Though I guess a large lump hammer would help in fitting bits
    off other bikes.

All you need is a couple of inner tubes, a couple of spark plugs and
    a cam belt.

What you really need is a sjambok. Those fuckers are just about the
nastiest thing (short of a gun) I've ever seen used by plod to quieten
    down an unruly crowd.

Get it vinyl wrapped bright colours, i know a bloke did that with a Land
Rover 101 6x6 to avoid getting shot or blown up.

Why vinyl wrap? Just blow it over with a different colour.

I would like to see that TV series again when riders had to compete in
several different motorcycle competition disciplines. The upshot was
that trials riders (Malcolm Rathmel in particular) made better circuit
    racers than vice versa.
I thought LWR was 'OK'. Gave up on LWD after one episode.

    $:

Rotax had a hand in designing all of the F650 engines inc. the new parallel
twin. They made the original single up until 2000, then BMW brought it in
house. The single cylinder engine for what is now the G650GS, is made in
China. Rotax currently build the 650/800cc parallel twin engines.

I haven't heard of any problems with the parallel twin engine. As ever,
with BMW, faults are batch related due to their tendency to buy parts off
the back of a lorry in Shanghai. So far the F800GS has had a dodgy batch of
wheel bearings and a batch of chains that lasted hundreds of miles. Nothing
    as horrendous as the R1200GS.

A quick question: What does the metal rod in the feed pipe do? Can it
be anywhere in the feed pipe run?
