FOAK: Bluetooth PDA streaming audio

Windows Mobile 2003 PPC Phone, Jabra bluetooth headset (250v) and
Music files/satnav.

Any bloody idea how to get the lot working together anyone ??? Did I
buy the wrong one ? I t seems to works fine all round with a Nok
standard phone though so I am stumped.

Phone calls seem to play nicely with the headset (making + receiving),
which is fair enough but I am at a bit of a loss with the audio side,
albeit I have already loaded some bluetooth extensions that seem to
support this idea but don't recongise the headset (perhaps needs a
stereo headset?)

Whats the point if you have to switch between a call compatible
headset and a stereo one for audio ? I am sure I am missing out on
something - wonder if BlueCast or BlueMusic may add anything here, but
I think I need .NET compact 2 to get them to work, either that or they
do not work on WM2003 PPC.

 

I'll reply myself on this, as I must be more of an authority on it at
the moment, based on a bit of war-browsing on the subject !
I believe my problem is because A2DP is only supported on proper
stereo headsets, its just wishful thinking to expect anything better
of a poor quality voice-only bluetooth headset.
I was on the right lines for the device with the updated bluetooth
spec, but its just a non-supported headset. All the other downloads
don't make a jot of difference to the problem.

Its a pity they can't just make a combined all-in-one at the same kind
of price, that really would be useful. I kind of feel cheated in
getting a one-trick pony bluetooth headset as I would sooner have had
something that maybe could have been used for both set of requirements
(if such a thing is possible).

Mind you I did kind of feel it was obviously going to turn out that
such a mono headset wasn't going to be much good for full on audio
(being mono obviously) but at least having basic satnav instruction
support would have been nice.

I guess (from Jabra) the Jabra BT8010 is probably the more all in one
suited device, but I doubt its quite as practical for fitting on your
ear as well while you are on a bike as a car.
