It was a bit squirmy out there this morning so I think some new tyres
are in order.Any recommendations for K100 winter tyres?
    Cheers

See if you can get some Avon Storm ST's to fit?

The nearest sizes for the utterly excellent Michelin Pilot Road's would
    be:
110/80/18 and 150/70/17. Not sure they would fit it but worth asking a
    good tyre dealer.

Failing that good old BT45's but K's shred the fronts

I was about to suggest BT45s, but I see Hog got in there first.

If it's an 8 valve K100 then I used to run Avon Azaro's on my K100RS
    110/80ZR18 AV45ST front and 140/80ZR17 AV46ST rear

They were brilliant in all weathers!

    HTH?

Metzeler Lazertec seem to work well on mine.

  6. I'd avoid Michelin Macadams like wot I've got fitted on mine (not my
choice - they were new when I bought it).
Semi OK in the dry, but a bit of a fucking mare on long wet trips as I found
    out at the weekend.
They like to follow any over banding, lines, paint etc

I'll endorse that - easily the worst tyres I've ever had on a bike -
likely made from recycled Michelin X car tyres, they seemed to last
forever but felt like well-greased condoms in the wet. Loz frapped it
down the A54 for me (and was gone so long I honestly thought he'd
hedged it - but he was away looking for a directionless Dutchman) and
removed Bibendum's head(1) for me. He left the feet for me, which
took some pucker, I tell you.

    1. Bendy Bibby is moulded on the shoulder, about where the treadwear
    markers are.

I think everything shreds front BT45s. I change the Guzzi's tyres as
pairs - they only really last as long as each other.
