  1. Krusty i have some schematics of a cannine controller and a sonic
pain field generator you can knock up yourself for a few quid if
you want copies , i can even supply you component lists

Thing is, it will then just sound like another yappy
Jack Russell which they likely won't mind:)

Will be interesting to find out if they are fooled.

When you say 'knock up yourself', how difficult are we talking, bearing
in mind I know zero about electronics?

I've looked for 'something to generate ultrasonic sound' in the past &
failed miserably. Got any links? Nothing on RS that I can find.

  5. If you really want to piss the dogs off 20KHz , 16KHz will drive her
    nuts

Personally I'd fork out the £17.97 for the wonderfully apt sounding
    "Mega-sonic woof woof".

I've read numerous reviews of things like that & none of them seem to
    work.

A neighbor had a barking dog problem and they cut its vocal cords. Now
the dog makes this bizarre pathetic squelching noise. Unnerving, but
    much better than the barking.

I thought the MP3 algorithm worked in part by stripping out all
frequencies inaudible to the human ear. This could be a problem...

Springer spaniels like boots laxative chocolate.

Well, maybe not all Springer spaniels but certainly Atyrau airport
    drug sniffer ones do.

ELF should do it too. Break out the subwoofer.

    But top marks anyway.

He must be young or hearing a harmonic - I had to turn the volume up
quite high to hear 14KHz when I checked a few years ago. I suppose it
could've been the headphones I was using but they were supposedly
rated to over 20KHz. Signal source was 44.1KHz driving a stereo DAC
    directly.

Thank **** its not just me then.

Two door up theyt have a couple of dogs that simply dont stop barking,
we have talked to them about it and nothing has been done, so we have
to go down the route of the local council and they said that someone
    will "have a word"

Last saturday, they started at about 10am and didnt stop until 6pm when
    the owners got back.

    I was going fucking mental.
