The IVA doesn't apply as came up already in the thread. I think the CAB will
help too, I don't understand why some people have a problem with going in
and talking to them.

 

I suspect it's more a problem with them being able to talk to you.

The one down here, the debt counselling side is something you
generally can't just walk in and talk to.

Last time I had cause to need to look into such things, you had to
fill out a questionnaire to allow them to determine whether or not
you're in the shit enough / your income is low enough, before they'd
even put you on the books so to speak.
