FOAK: Dishwashers

I inherited a dishwasher (Bosch) in seemingly very good condition. I ran
a cycle with the Finish dishwasher cleaner thingy which worked
perfectly. But now it won't pump out so I'm puzzled. I presume that the
pump that circulates the water to wash is the same one that pumps the
machine out? The circulation action works fine but not the emptying. Can
I fix it myself cheaply or is it fucked? Can anyone point me to any way
of checking it out? Long shot, I know, but this is the FOAK.

There are two pumps. The high pressure one is for 'circulation' and there
will be another low pressure one for emptying out. It's more likely to be a
problem with a microswitch or float switch stopping the pumping out. It may
be worth checking the outlet is not blocked internally from this pump to the
    outlet hose.
Not a pleasant job to do as these bastard things are a pig to dismantle but
I'd go in underneath first and see what you can see.
TIP: do the tipping over bit prior to inspection with lots of towels handy
as there is always a gallon or two of water in DWs.

Derek Turner uttered these pearls of wisdom:
This is almost always due to the float valve being blocked with
solidified grease or other debris, a very common occurance with Bosch
dishwashers, but very easy to rectify.
Lift out the drain strainer from the bottom tray and to one side of the
hole that is revealed is a small circular plug that can be lifted out
and the float exposed. Clean thoroughly and reassemble.

Must be an older model. There's no circular plug to be seen. On one side
of the hole there's what appears to be a removable bit of plastic
secured by a torx pin, could that be it? I've searched both back and
front but can't find a model number to google.

Many a true word spoken jest. Modern machines with microprocessor
controls mostly run on embedded Linux. As does TomTom.

Just found model number inside the door! SGS3602GB/02 if that helps anyone.

There's no circular plug to be seen. On one side
Yes, must be old or a bodged home repair.
Bosch usually prints/etches the model number on the stainless steel of
the door. Open the door and the first bit of stainless you see on the
door top is where it will be.

No such thing according to my listing, but there is an SGS3062GB/02.

That's the puppy. I transposed two digits between the kitchen and the study.

Derek Turner uttered these pearls of wisdom:
I have never seen one of these but I would suspect a valve blockage,
especially as you have just cleaned it. Accumulations of fat can be
loosened by the cleaning process or a normal wash cycle and then
re-solidify on a cold rinse. Problems usually manifest themselves as
either a flooded kitchen because the float valve does not shut the water
off or failure to pump put because there is a blockage.

Not on my Windows Mobile PDA it doesn't.

A TomTom, or any PDA, is not a "machine with microprocessor controls"
in the context of this discussion, e.g. dishwasher, washing machine, etc.

The more commonly accepted usage would have been 'micro_controller_
based machines' rather than "machines with micro_processor_ controls".
