OK, so I was glueing a bit back onto one of Jude's ski boot last night
and inadvertently got some on my jeans and short.

So anyone know any old wives' tales for getting glue off fabrics?

No. It's a bostik-like stuff though. I imagine any solvent will work,
but I'm a biit loath to try tstuff at random.

    Sounds like it needs glueing.

  9. stick them in the freezer that should make it brittle enough to pick off

And then drag them behind the bike for a few miles.

Sticky stuff. Not cyanoacrylate, not epoxy, just glue.

But make sure you drag it from warp to weft.

Rub it with a glass and then break the glass. Bury the bits in your
    neighbours garden.

Think you've got your old wives tales mixed up ... isn't that the one for
    getting chewing gum off stuff?

  15. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Ace amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
    What sort of glue?

Stick em in the freezer and pick it off when frozen, unless you can buy
that whizzy ice in a can stuff we had when I worked at the cleaners.

Try normal washing first. If that doesn't work, assuming the fabric is
*not* synthetic, use nail varnish remover and then wash as normal.

That worked for most of the people who used to ask us the same question
    at work [1].

  18. Also works on some contact adhesives
    worth a try.

  19. Not on a hot wash though and don't stick them in the tumble drier or iron
    them.
