I need a new graphics card to drive an LCD monitor at 1920x1200 over DVI.
My current (very old) card will only do it over analogue. Don't want to
spend lots of money - preferably less than £100, or even better £50.

Main use is for video editing and never for games.

Current card uses the AGP slot, but AGP cards seem to be in the minority
these days, so I'll go PCI if I need to - I've one slot left.

Have no real loyalty to nvidia and would happily get an ATI if it's the
    better option.

    What say the font?

Looks like it should do the job.

PCI won't cut it... (not to be confused with the more recent PCI Express
(aka PCIe) which your MB likely doesn't support). You want some AGP
card. eBay is your friend :)

ATI X1950Pro will do the deed.
