....otherwise known as 'Lardy Old Bus Suspension'. I took the GSX out for a decent run yesterday. Enjoyed it actually - first big bike I've had the pleasure of to date whereby it goes notably quicker if you change up a bit earlier than the redline, when you're really stretching its legs. Very comfy overall, and I like the way you feel the whole bike rise up when you open it right up in the lower gears. On the downside, at one stage when I was enthusiastically punting it down some tight twisties, it revealed itself to be ever so slightly soggy on the front end, and whilst it didn't get out of shape, I can see it possibly becoming a bit unruly at times when I possibly really would rather it didn't in the future, without a bit of enhancing surgery. So... whilst I appreciate it's the nature of such a beast compared to some of the more lithe bikes I've had, is it possible that with only 19k new, the front springs could do with renewing as part of any front end tweaking I give it in the near future, or is it a case of they were this shit from new? I'm aware of the 'stack of 2ps' trick, and I'll be re-oiling the forks with heavier oil when the time comes... but if new / aftermarket springs would improve it even more, I'm happy to throw the time and money at it to get it that bit better. TIA
