I'm about to make the definitive move to my new abode (which I suspect
is on the Burnt ancestral lands), housewarming to be notified in due
    course.

In the meantime, does the FOAK have any views on who to go to for
phone and interweb services? I don't want cable because telly makes
you stupider, just phone and net.

  3. Because they've now sorted out my sloooooooow broadband, and the customer
service was pretty damned good, and they're cheap... Plusnet.

I'd agree with this, and were I not throwing money at Murdoch's junket
for cheap net and expensive idiot box, I'd do the above.

It's what I have. Be* have tried very hard to provide a stable connection
on a shitty BT line. It's slower than I'd like (downstream: 2909 kbit/s,
upstream: 793 kbit/s) but Be* have largely stopped the intermittent
    outages.

Note: O2 broadband is from the same provider. If you have an O2 mobile then
you will get a discounted rate.

Be* & O2 are offering a bribe via Quidco at the moment

I use them just for the phone, gas and electric. All fine so far. (4 +
    years).

I have Plusnet for both phone and BB, and have been happy enough. Much
    faster than Virgin ADSL.
