    you re another lens...
    Thought that was just photosharing?

I was deliberately going down the photoshop route to be honest, for no
other reason than all the digi photo mags seem to concentrate on this
and it would be one less hurdle in my getting to grips with the
    software.
Yes if it's going spare :)

I'm not saying that it is. I'm saying that now I've improved my
technique, and made sure the settings on the camera produce pictures I
want, I'm not spending 4 or 5 hours fucking around with photos in
post-processing after I took them. I made a decision to attempt to be
a photographer, not an Aperture expert.

It was the post-processing that killed my 365 project as I simply
didn't have time to do it, although I might re-start now.

Photoshop, granted, has a lot of features...
But how many do you REALLY need? It's expensive. Very expensive.

Especially when you consider that GIMP is free. OK, it doesn't do everything
photoshop can, but for £0.00 it certainly gives it a run for its money.

And basic effects, a good place to start.

No, I've learned how to get exposure and white balance right in the
camera and got better at framing pictures so less reliant on cropping.

A key question to ask is if you want to manage your library of photos
with the application. Photoshop won't do that for you.

The png file is the point. Stick with it - it's quite funny, if you've seen
    the video.

  19. Far out, now THAT is cool. The hours and hours (months?) I've spent
manually doing that over the last couple of decades ...

I'm now working in IT at a bank, so not doing much visual side, but
will have that in mind if I have any projects back in that direction.
