Aahh...continuing adventures of piss. Anyone know of a utility that checks RAM for badness?
This or the updated version available at http://www.memtest.org/ is the one you want, no ram test that runs on-top of an operating system can possibly do a good job. -- Bob vstun piss ted at yahoo dot com If you want to email me you'll have to take the piss As you can probably tell I'm heavily Dyslexic so errors and omissions are not just excepted but expected.
The utility I mentioned (BurnInTestPro), found faulty RAM in my machine when all else failed to, including the Dell diagnostic tool and Memtest. Yes, a new RAM fixed the random crashing I was experiencing.
It didn't help me, mine came up clear. Memtest said something was fucked. Now I just have to work out whether it's ram, cpu, motherboard, etc, etc.
