Clearly my searching Mojo is not working too good as I know this
subject has been discussed at some length, it's just I can't seem to
    find any of the threads.

I would be grateful for any recommendations for a waterproof boot that
    is folks like.

Most of the Alpinestars were wearing Daytonas.

    My head hurts.

Daytonas, buy some decent socks though as i dont find them the warmest
    boots.

I just got some Daytona Racer Goretex a couple of weeks back. So far
100% waterproof (as I would expect from Goretex), tested in 4 hours
    continuous of rain.

Daytona's (but make sure to get the goretex ones). dry feet after
    biblical rain.

I cant say the same for my Held trousers which will be going back to
    Graham tomorrow.

    That is folks like what?

I use black rigger boots which have lasted me 10 years and have just started
leaking slightly. Bargain for 20 squid at the time.

I was wearing Bullson Sheltex boots.

    They seem to work.

I've got a recommendation for boots. Cleanse, tone and moisturise. You
    look fucking ancient.

Hijacking the thread, I've just sold my vignette for a BIN tenner on
Ebay. Credit yourself with a beer token.

  16. Daytona work well- just bought some 'Spirits' for about 200 Euros.
Would have bought 'Travelstars' but they didn't have them in my size.
And whilst we're slagging Held products... I bought some Held gloves
just before I went on my summer break. 3500 miles later and the visor
wipe is falling apart. Not impressed for gloves costing 60 quid.

Have used Held gloves for a long time, not impressed with this pair-
    hope it's a one off.

a Kraut bot blitzed my BIN auction, whilst letting several other auctions
run their course, so I shifted it for a tenner on UKGSer. They buyer paid
£5 for special delivery as he was leaving today.

Dry feet certainly take some of the misery out of riding in heavy
rain. I'd taken a pair of Pathans with me to the Alps and used them on
the ride through to Sedan and they were soggy inside but at least my
hands weren't freezing cold. I'll probably invest in goretex gloves at
some point but I've already got waterproof winter gloves so I need to
convince myself I really need them.
