    Have a light box here.

I've not exactly done a double blind test with control, but in general I
    say I feel 'better'.

But then I think one pair of cables sounds 'better' than another so
    wibble flip ;)

SWMBO bought me one of these a couple of winters ago:

    http://www.electronichealing.co.uk/products/litepod.htm

I'm sure Grimly or Krusty cold knock one up from basic components for a
    fraction of the price.

I am sure I am better for using it (it sits next to my PC during early
morning email checks). You have to use it every day for a decent length
of time (minimum half an hour) to get the best effect.

More to the point SWMBO says she can tell the difference.

I tried this recently. I can't say it made a difference, although I
didn't do it for more than a week.

I also used a Lumie desk lamp when I was working night shifts. Again,
results were not a lot as far as I could tell.

H has just ordered one so I'll report back the results in a few weeks.
I do tonnes of exercise and know this helps but I've been interested in
trying one of these for a few winters now.

I'm a pretty positive person on the whole but I do find February to be
    a bit of a struggle.

They would be better if we had snow like today on a regular basis.
Strictly 'Camelot' stylee rules though. Only allowed to snow at night
with brilliant sun by a reasonable hour in the morning. Then the Midland
Ski club might get their old tow equipment out of mothballs and set up
    at the Clent 'Massif' ;-)

To connect a sound source to speakers? Good cables *do* make a difference
and in some cases a fucking *huge* difference.

Which, as a guitar player, you'll no doubt know.

I can't believe you don't love the Motherland Nige. Granted, not *all* parts
are as picturesque and sophisticated as Bradford, but still....

It makes a huge difference if they are too short.
Apart from that, as long as the resistance is low enough it makes bugger
    all difference what you use.
And if you can demonstrate otherwise, there are people about who will
    give you loads of money.

February is skiing, the annual G&S production by the choral society I
sing in, Valentine's Day dinner some time in the middle of the month,
planning the summer holiday. What's not to like?

Notwithstanding the fact that I agree with him, at least partially[1],
I also hate to hear people whinging but doing nothing about it.

[1] But then I choose not to live there, so I guess I'm allowed.
