I'm not sure why either. I'm guessing that a guitar must output a

A two-feet square fluro light ceiling fitting, containing four fluoro
tubes is perfectly adequate and costs BA if you salvage one from an
office refurb.
I made one up a few years ago using a four-footer and doubled the number
of tubes to eight. Hoboy, that can pump out the light, right enough.
