Actually, it is easily demonstrable. I have sat and listened to the
difference between a cheapy guitar cable and a moderately expensive one

    there is a huge difference.

I'm not sure why either. I'm guessing that a guitar must output a
really low level signal. I know there is a ton of BS/snakeoil regarding
audio interconnects etc., but in this case there really is a difference.

Merely corroborative detail designed to give verisimilitude to an
    otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

Champ's pad will be a veritable hall of mirrors at this rate.

Perhaps a spurious 'r' got in to Nige's despised geographical area? In
which case re-estimation might be required TBF.

Fucknose what he would make of my fair city. I see from the Saint
Attenborough documentary about Darwin last night that it had a bad press
in his day [1]. Plus ça change...

[1] Hardly surprising as Queen Vic allegedly always used to order the
blinds pulled down on the royal train carriages if passing through even
    in day time.

    Wolvo.

    Enoch Powell's old constituency.

Like many places it is a curate's egg. A bit like the UK generally I
suppose. When I look out of the window I see people, of a variety of
races and national origins. A few will be criminals or scrotes I dare
say, but I try not to judge a book by looking at the cover.

  12. A two-feet square fluro light ceiling fitting, containing four fluoro
tubes is perfectly adequate and costs BA if you salvage one from an
    office refurb.
I made one up a few years ago using a four-footer and doubled the number
of tubes to eight. Hoboy, that can pump out the light, right enough.

  17. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Pete Fisher
You have *been* to Champ's retirement home, right?

I once remarked to Mrs WUN "Champ's going to call in for a cuppa".

"Oh, OK" she said, "I'll just polish the mirrors".
