Got all that as well, even the fancy liquid stuff that goes in to speed it
up. All the old leaves in there from the neighbours trees. WTF his leaves
have to fall in my bloody garden is beyond me ;o)
    You are not wrong!

It's a fight between me and the birds as soon as a worm shows itself in my
    garden.
The composter bin has had the benefit of a goodly number of the fellows!

That would be this 'orrible brown liquid that I have here in a bottle then.
Cost more than the bloody compost bin itself!
I guess 'accelerator' is a rather loose term, or would composting normally
    take an entire generation?

  5. platypus wrote Adding the urine of a young man to a compost heap seems to go back a
long way in the history of man.

the earliest reference is attributed to Her Royal Maj Lizzy I when, in a
letter, she wrote to some bloke she never ever not at all it is a lie
really shagged and we know it is a lie because history says she is a
Virgin and that is The Law and we will kill anybody who says otherwise.

Anyway she writes " ...thou dust inflame in me such a passion as a heepe
upon which a youthe hath pissed. It groweth in me withe each passing
moment and will surely consume my very being...

This is taken to be the very first mention of it. Me I think it is
bollocks because they had horse shit aplenty but either way it seems to
be yoof pee that is best, dropped balls but not regularly shaving.
