Not a question about "stupid power" if there is such a thing, but a
stupid question about power 12v external source from the bike. I've
been searching and come to a loss except for standard marine style
    power sockets for silly money.

It is possible to get an Oxford Oximiser (not the Maximiser360T
unfortunately) accessory, whereby you can plug in direct to the
already prepared battery connection ? ( I can't recall if this is
fused or not, but pretty sure it must be)

This is what accumate do: http://www.accumate.co.uk/it020007.htm

Not sure what this is but its clear Oxford do something for the
    Maximiser product but not mine:
"OF704 Maximiser 360T - Cigarette plug and connection lead"
Wonders, is it possible to utilise EITHER of the above (and very
quickly, as I was hoping to use this weekend with satnav ) ? Ideally
with either the same connector, or a made up one.

I think I have the wrong end of the Oxford style 2 prong socket
(battery leads connector for obviously hotting to the battery. I need
the other type (e.g. exactly the same connector as that used by the
    charger itself).

I'll doubt its that easy, but it would be nice. For a change.

  2. Have a look at Radio Control plane bits websites - you'll find high
current QD battery connectors for just a couple of quid.

Is that what those connectors are called ? You are the man.

Some basic power connectors are also available without too much
searching, I was just too routed into trying to find something for the
    Oximiser specifically.

If I can locate QD connectors even if I have to splice it into an
existing 12v style socket (with fuse) then bob should most definitely
be your uncle. I just hope I can either order to receive in time for
Sunday or obtain such from local/close shops.

Not that you need high current capabilities to run a satnav.

I ran a pair of wires from the battery to a ciggie adaptor through a fuse
and ran my satnav all last summer with no probs. The fuse in the satnav is
    only about 500milli-amps,

If you want a cigarette lighter socket then they
are sold in Maplins (or online):
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=1055

They also sell the 12v battery connectors which
seem to be used just about everywhere from Optimates
to radio control cars and more.
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ModuleNo=1397

If you wanted to be really flash, you could
even add your own inline fuse:

Thanks for that, I am a complete tard for missing out on that. I also
have just learnt that they have a store in N'pton which was a first
also as the only one I have been in reasonably locally is Cov, and
that was a good while ago. Shall be dropping in over the weekend.
    Cheers
