Heh. Ditto here but the wife. She's well happy with the ageing laptop

about 10 seconds and does surfing, email, some database stuff, prints,
plays music through the hifi (music collection on slug) and Skype for
chatting to the kids and her mum. I definitely recommend Puppy for old
kit with hardly any memory (the machine, not the wife/mother) and minimal
    requirements.

    Seriously, Don't.

SO was with Talk Talk while at uni. She wanted to cancel after a year
as she was moving house. They did everything they could not to let her
cancel - they hung up when she said cancel, when she cancelled the
direct debit they took notice, but then tried to bill an extra month's
line rental. This was supposed to be taken off, but the revised bill
came with 2 months rental and a late payment fee. This went on another
month, with promises of a correct bill, but then 3 months rental
turned up, with 2 late payment fees and a debt collection agency was
involved. Only briefly though - as soon as the situation was explained
they didn't want anything to do with it, and it got a bit legal.

She ended up "winning", but the hassle makes me avoid them (and CPW),
no matter how cheap. In all seriousness, they'd have to pay me to make
    me use their service.

    Avoid, avoid, avoid.
