Little bastard has been on the phone again tonight. Firstly claiming to
be a solicitor working for the company - he was a bit put out when I said
"no you're not, you're <his name he is using> and you are also known as
    <his real name>"

He then started saying they want 169 or they will take me to court - I
explained I would not discuss it with him on the phone - on a Sunday
evening and he should put it in writing. I then said I have nothing more
to say and hung up. He rang back 3 times and never leaving a message.

4th time I answered and he then said unless I pay tonight there will be
court costs of 200 added to the bill... I hung up.

This is getting beyond a fucking joke.

I think that this sort of performance moves it into the area of being a
matter for the police - deception, harrassment, threats.

This is where you need to perfect the classic Norn Iron accent so you
can tell the fucker exactly what he gets if he doesn't stop pestering
    you.

I think so - however the local rozzers don't. Tried them. Might as well
have rung the pizza shoppe for all the use they were.

    Thanks though.

It's a PITA, but you'll be okay. Ginge was spot on and platy gave some
decent advice too. Get the old bill involved and the next time he
calls, let him know that you're filing charges for harassment. That'll
    probably stop him.

It's not your problem that the phone co. didn't pay his commission, so
    he can FRO.

    Keep a record though.

Their reply was a bit strange though. Years ago, when I lived in
London, I had harrasment by phone. The old bill turned up and took
details. I never heard back from the caller.

Tell him that you are recording phone calls and if he doesn't desist,
you will get the police in and do him for harassment

Best to start recording, and get the police involved anyway

He's an obvious asset but Platy or MJK could do a reasonable job if
    you got them pissed enough.

Tell them that you want an incident number, and phone them up every time
you get a phone call, explain exactly what he said and insist that they
    log it

It should be taken into the equation that the bloke is apparently mentally
    unstable.

I suppose you could tell a small porky to Plod. Something political. Like he
has threatened to hunt down and rape your SO!

Ok, don't use Mike then. That still leaves him with darsy or platy to
    try and worry the bloke.
