I am fitting a tow-bar to the Pan. I have a new trailer socket and cable
to wire into the loom. Ideally I would like to break the cable between
the loom and the trailer socket so that the tow-bar can easily be removed
    and disconnected when not needed.

So... I need some kind of cable-mounted 7-pin plug and socket arrangement
which will fit easily under the seat. I guess, because of its position in
the dry it doesn't need to be too water/dust resistant but it does need
to be able to carry the necessary current for stop-lights and indicators
etc. So something beefier than audio DIN but less than mains. What says
the FOAK? (The obvious answer of an extra SN12 trailer plug and socket
will be much too big to fit under the seat, I suspect).

If you let me know how long you need the 'tails, I could make a set up for
you. One plug with flying leads (in a PVC sleeve) to go to the trailer
socket, and matching socket with flying leads to aire into the loom. I
keep several of the QM-series mulitpin connectors, housings, shells,
pins/sockets at home and I've also got the correct crimp tooling.
RS: 466-747 & 466-775. Gives you 12-ways but more room between cables for
    wasy insertion of pins.
