FOAK: Transporting a car to lands foreign

One of the cars I'm currently attempting to flog has attracted interest
from a bloke in Austria. So far so good, but he checked the prices for
flights & fuel and figured out that if I can get the car transported
over to him it'll probably work out cheaper.

However I have absolutely no fucking clue where I could find someone who
transports cars to the continent. Anybody got any suggestions where to
look at the usual ebay transport companies probably wouldn't want to
    know?

Of course if one of the workshy layabouts here fancies a trip to
Austria, I might be all ears :).

Take it yourself, charge him & have a holiday for a day or two ;)

Or, pay me & I'll take it for you, never been to Austria!

Why don't you persuade him to take delivery in 6 weeks time because
I'm sure one of us will collect you from Austria and bring you home
    when we do the Elefantentreffen.

Obviously you'd have to be available for collection before the rally
rather than after it or there'd be no point..

It cost me about 300 quid to get a car and 2 bikes from Milton Keynes to
    Caerphilly.

I'm sure it's going to be significantly cheaper for him to get a cheap
    Sleazyjet flight and drive back.

Now there's a good point. Jane asked me not to go to next years due to the
fact we go back to barbados the weekend after & given my luck of barbados
last year & the whole holiday getting fucked up by an accident I have to
agree with her, but driving a car in snow. I could do that.

  6. Set out, driving it, let it break down (you'll have no trouble there, I
think), and get the AA to recover it to your destination.

I've just pointed him in the direction of Sleazyjet - he lives close to
Vienna and they only fly from there to Luton, but it's still better than
the 1500 quid that Vienna-Gatwick would cost him (I checked this as I
    couldn't believe that myself).

I'm trying to convince him that he'd be better off flying over here and
I'll guide him to Dover and put him on a ferry...

I doubt he'd be too happy to pay my usual daily rate, plus it's the
wrong corner of Austria for me.
Fifty quid for you and about 300 for fuel?

Thanks, but I think I'll pass. According to SteveH, I'm a little
eccentric but I'm not /that/ eccentric.

I might be up for doing this if Lozzo drops out.

Need to renew my passport, is all.
