Never seen one, but then again if I were to drive around Rotterdam at
    3.00am that may change...
    Oh, hang on... Amsterdam then.

Take a V5, insurance docs, all the paperwork. I was pulled at a
roadblock last September, just north of Sedan, and they wanted to see
the whole lot. I was the only one on the cliquerun to have them with me
    - could have been interesting if one of the others had been tugged
    instead.

Other than that, mind, I took bugger all. Not even a spare key.

    Loads of stuff mentioned. My tuppence worth;

A copy of the V5 seems to be sufficient, although I had the original
'safe' in case. Never needed to produce it though.

The GB sticker can be translated as "Help! I'm lost, I don't speak the
lingo and everyones on the wrong side of the road!" Which may help.

As for bits and bobs, the usual roadside fuel stops sell everything you
are lke to need, including chain lube, two stroke oil, etc.

No one has mentioned the stickydippy things for the headlights. This
might help avoiding getting tugged. 'Pends on lights as well. Trophy
    needed them, 'Bird didn't <shrugs>

Do not under any circumstances attempt to book into a pet hotel on the
grounds it says 'HOTEL' outside. It was a long day, it was dark, I was
    tired.
